Bar latches offer a simple and effective way to latch a door. They are available in 6" or 8" lengths and can be extended with a post so that you can operate the latch from both sides of the door. Although typically used on closets, cabinets, and smaller interior doors, bar latches also work well for gates. Hand forged keeper and retainer are included.
