Our Story

In 1989, Michael and Susan Coldren started what is now known as Michael M. Coldren Company, Inc. Through their own dedication and the help of truly exceptional individuals, they created a unique business that offers some of the finest architectural hardware. By specializing in the historical aspect of custom hardware, they have created a distinctive niche in the upscale residential housing market. 

Since then we have focused on providing the absolute finest collection of architectural hardware on the market today. This process included expanding and improving our own line of handmade hardware. We then took it a step further, selecting, testing and refining products from other manufacturers that worked with our own. Throughout all of this, we stayed committed to the philosophy of only offering products we would want in our own homes: period correct and modern pieces that don’t sacrifice function!

Today, we are privileged to have supplied hardware for some of the finest historical sites and more affluent homes in the country. We have been fortunate to meet and work with truly gifted, kind people. We look forward to continue our service for our existing clients, in addition to meeting the demands of our expanding clientele. From repairing an original 18th century rim lock to fabricating hardware for an entire upscale community, we hope you will see how passionate we are in everything we do.
